Hullo out there! Kitten is back with week two of Inktober!!! I’ve decided to post Mondays, it’s easier for my schedule. . . Anyway, I use fine and ultra-fine sharpies and a normal pen for my art, with a pencil under-sketch. I’m not as happy with the latter half of this week’s art, as it was a little rushed and turned out messy. But eh. Inktober #8: Crooked
So I immediately think of ‘pirate!’ So I do a pirate. Eh.
Inktober #9: Screech
It’s painfully obvious that most people would do an owl for this one. However, I didn’t follow the crowd. Nope. Not at all. No, I did a convor. Which is. . . essentially a Star Wars owl. Ah well. Did this with no pencil sketch, and I’m so proud and happy with how it turned out!
Inktober #10: Gigantic
I did a short Star Wars story a while back about a Mando’a legend called “The Legend of the Tracyn’senar” about what basically amounts to a giant firefly. . . So I drew it and a small Sabine.
Inktober #11: Run
I wanted to do this since I first saw the prompt. Like, before I even started Inktober. The old nursery rhyme from Lothal; “Lothrat, Lothcat, Lothwolf; RUN. Pick a path and ALL is done. . .” This one was fun!
Inktober #12: Shattered
This one was harder, I couldn’t really think of much that I had enough practice with ink to draw (cue the gasps of horror). I remembered a shirt I had seen like this except with a football, and so I did a starbird of Sabine’s from Rebels.
Inktober #13: Teeming
This one was another I was looking forward to since the beginning. I mean, how could it be hard? Just the word. . . teeming. . . It’s so – so – I don’t really know, but I love it. I did (for the first time!) a wolf pack. Hearing Family Force Five’s ‘Cray Button’ in my head; “Wild like a wolfpack/ howlin’ at the moon/ attack! attack!/ you’ve been bitten by the boom!”
Inktober #14: Fierce
I’m steadily spiraling downward with this week’s art I think. . . This is supposed to be a Mandalorian warrior; what’s more fierce than that? He’s got a bes’kad. . . and a cape. . . Eh.
Inktober #15: Mysterious
This is Sunday’s art. I’m doing the entire week (Sunday to Sunday) with Rebels art as the new season premiered this week AND IT WAS EPIC!!! I’m so happy and excited to see Sabine and the crew back! Anyway, this is Sabine, who is obviously the most mysterious (at first) of the crew. Personally, I think Zeb to be the mysterious one by now. Still, Sabine seems like the one who is secretive, whereas Zeb is only a mystery because no one asked him yet. He seems much more open than Bean.
Inktober #16: Fat
Today’s work. Honestly, I dislike the word. I feel it is rather crude, and connotes something negative. I would have preferred something like ‘chubby,’ or ‘plump.’ Oh well, I worked with it. I did a slim Lothcat and a not-so-slim one. He’s a fat-and-happy kitty friend. I bet Ezzy would pick the chubby one over the normal one. . .
Well, there y’all have it. Kitten’s random Inktober week two. I’ll see y’all with more Inktober next Monday, for now, Kitten out!
